Project description:

Investigation of the external and internal safety of an earth dam as a basis of dimensioning an approx. 20 m high and 600 m long earth dam to be founded on unstable, water saturated ground. The planning of the dam had to consider the flooding of a nearby open pit (Salziger See) and subsequent increase of the groundwater level with associated formation of a seepage water flow in the dam body.
