Heavy Rain and Flash Floods, Flood Protection

Due to global warming, extreme weather events will occur more frequently in the future. Hazard maps for heavy rain are the most important basis for structural measures to reduce the risk of flooding, precautionary planning and crisis management. We use a wide variety of funding programs, guidelines and manuals to protect against the consequences of climate change and, in particular, heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

We use all available sources of information, from quick analyses to detailed risk assessments, to create individual solutions for you – starting with the planning of protective measures through to the implementation of management tools.
The aim is to protect life and limb and to prevent or minimize potential damage from future heavy rain and flash flood events as far as possible. We are on hand to advise you throughout the entire process.

Our DWA specialist planners for heavy rainfall prevention and engineers for urban water management will be happy to assist you:
